Rehabilitation training as an integral element of treatment.
At Brightwell Clinic our aim is to treat the body in motion so as to keep the body in motion.
Consider for a moment the plight of a runner who is suffering from tibial fasciitis (commonly known as 'shin splints'). He or she may initially seek advice from our Physiotherapist who will be able to deal with the immediate symptoms with some Physiotherapy, but refer him or her to our Podiatrist for gait analysis to establish if there is a biomechanical cause of the condition and if so possibly to treat this using orthotic therapy. Rehabilitation training can be an important part of the treatment process by providing a structured return to full and expected performance to reduce the risk of further injury from trying too hard too quickly.
The first two stages are designed to treat the body in motion by regarding it as a dynamic structure which spends a large part of its time in motion. This final stage is concentrating on improving the motion of the body, whilst it is actually in motion!
Personal training at Brightwell Clinic
Brightwell Clinic has it own small gymnasium and so immediately there is no question of feeling overshadowed (and as a result stressed) as in a large commercial gym where there are many regular exercisers in their lycra gear!

The gymnasium at Brightwell Clinic is not filled with lots of high tech exercise machines though it does contain a sophisticated treadmill and exercise cycle. The treadmill is often also used by the Clinic's Podiatrist as part of the process of biomechanical evaluation.
